What does it mean that Truvia is MARA-registered?+
MARA (the Migration Agents Registration Authority) is the Australian Government's official regulator for immigration agents. Only MARA-registered agents can legally provide Australian immigration assistance and represent you in a visa application. Truvia is Kuwait's only MARA-registered migration consultancy, and our team is trained and supervised by a registered MARA agent — so your application is handled under Australian regulatory standards, not by an unlicensed intermediary.
How does the Australia points test work?+
Australia's skilled migration visas (Subclass 189, 190, and 491) are points-tested. You need a minimum of 65 points to submit an Expression of Interest, though competitive scores are usually higher. Points come from age (max 30), English ability (max 20), skilled employment (max 20), qualifications (max 20), Australian study, partner skills, and state nomination (+5 for 190, +15 for 491). We calculate your score precisely before you invest in the process.
How long does an Australian skilled visa actually take?+
It varies by subclass. Based on current processing: Subclass 189 takes roughly 7–9 months, while Subclass 190 is around 12–17 months and Subclass 491 around 12–18 months. These are visa-decision timelines — you also need to budget preparation time beforehand for skills assessment, English testing, and your EOI.
What is a skills assessment and do I need one?+
Yes — for skilled migration, your qualifications and work experience must be formally verified by the assessing authority for your occupation before you can lodge. Different occupations go to different bodies: VETASSESS, TRA, ACS, Engineers Australia, AHPRA, or CPA, among others. Choosing the right authority and occupation code is one of the most common places applications go wrong, and it's a core part of what we handle for you.
What English test score do I need?+
The minimum for most skilled visas is Competent English (IELTS 6.0 in each band, or equivalent). But English is also worth up to 20 points — Superior English (IELTS 8.0 / PTE 79) earns the maximum. For many applicants, improving an English score is the fastest way to become competitive, which is why we offer PTE, IELTS, and OET coaching in-house.

Do I need to be in Kuwait to work with you?+
